Our Story

20200512_174356_edited.jpg

We, at Verandah, are pursuing our passion to create a unique experience in White Rock, inspired by the rich and flavorful culinary heritage of the Indian subcontinent. In particular, we want to evoke the delights of street foods by serving quirky and creatively put together dishes. The food is cooked home-style from fresh and healthy local ingredients.  The cafe, a joint venture, opened shop in April 2018.

The perfect accompaniment to our fusion dishes, is a cup of masala chai or well brewed espresso. We serve fair trade organic coffee, roasted locally by Republica Coffee Roasters, based out of Fort Langley.

Our endeavor is to create a space that unites the community. In the past, we have organized cooking classes, collaborated with the Dailey Method for a fitness event and co-hosted a mental health awareness talk with a non-profit. The cafe is located in a historic and rustic beach-house property near semiahmoo park, overlooking east-beach.

Day or night, sunny or grey, enjoy our all-day breakfast service.
